Scrotal and Testis Ultrasound
A scrotal and testis ultrasound is a safe and painless imaging procedure used to evaluate the health of the testes, epididymis, and surrounding scrotal tissues. At Advance Diagnostics Laboratories (ADL), we utilize high-resolution ultrasound technology to investigate symptoms such as pain, swelling, or lumps, helping to identify conditions like cysts, hydroceles, varicoceles, and testicular masses. Serving patients in Livonia, Pontiac, and the surrounding areas, our dedicated team provides professional, discreet care with a comprehensive radiologist report delivered within 24 hours to ensure you get the answers you need quickly.
We will perform a detailed assessment of the testes and scrotal contents. This includes the assessment of the superficial tissues of the scrotum, the testes, epididymis (tube connected to the testis) and the spermatic cord. Common examples for having this ultrasound scan are to investigate the causes of lumps, pain, and swellings of the scrotum for conditions such as scrotal hernias, epididymal cysts, hydroceles (fluid), varicoceles (varicose veins), unexplained swellings and testicular masses.
We will provide a Radiologist report within 24 hours.
Pre-scan Preparation
