Transabdominal and Trasvaginal Pelvic Ultrasound

At Advance Diagnostics Laboratories (ADL), we provide comprehensive pelvic ultrasound services designed to offer clear insights into reproductive and pelvic health. Utilizing both transabdominal and transvaginal imaging techniques, our detailed scans evaluate the uterus, ovaries, and pelvic region to assist in the detection or exclusion of conditions such as fibroids, ovarian cysts, and pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). With a commitment to patient convenience and clinical excellence, we ensure a professional experience with diagnostic reports delivered by a Radiologist within 24 hours.

We will perform a detailed scan to look at the size, shape and condition of the:

  • uterus

  • lining of the womb

  • both ovaries

  • pelvic area

Common examples for having this ultrasound scan are the detection or exclusion of:

  • fibroids

  • ovarian cysts

  • polycystic ovaries

  • pelvic inflammatory disease (PID)

We will provide a Radiologist report within 24 hours.

Pre-scan Preparation

  • Need to expose lower part of the abdomen so ideally wear 2 piece garments i.e pants and top.
  • Drink a minimum of 24 ounces of clear fluid at least one hour before your appointment.
  • Do not empty your bladder until after the exam. 
  • Maintain normal medication.
